Project Overview

Schlagel provided planning, engineering, and survey services for the Santa Marta Senior Living Community. The development consists of four different living environments: assisted living, memory care, independent living and maintenance free villa/cottage homes. The site design included the design of underground parking facilities for residents of the independent living units as well as surface parking lots to serve the public at each of the entrances of the facility. Public and private streets including 116th Street and 115th Terrace were also incorporated into the overall development of the project as well as a full round-about design at the intersection of 116th Street and Greenwood at the western boundary of the development. Both wet-bottom and dry bottom detention basins were incorporated into the overall site design along with a reflecting pool and waterfall in the main courtyard of the facility.
